Lately this swing is her fave place to be! As soon as she wakes up and we go outside she walks over to it makes her little birdie sound and points to it...Letting us know she wants to go for a Swing!

This was another beach day....And its special because that day she started Walking! It was Saturday, one day before Mothers Day :)

 She is putting her sunscreen here....It's a serious job!

She learned how to do "SCORES!!!!" As soon as she hears goal horn (hockey) she lifts her arms up!

One other thing she learned is ....Frowning!!...Yup, shes got this frowning thing Down!

I love the beach! Hubby, err not so much. he cant stand just being there and not doing anything!...But he came with us...and found something to do...he made this big "pond" for baby....and kept filling it with water for her...She loved it! She kept pouring the water all over her...While I sat in the sun, and read my book...aaaah , love summer

Hola! Over 2 months since last post! Yikes!! Time flies!! Few days ago my hubby asked me if I'm promptly updating this blog of mine! ha! "yeah, Hun...I totally am!" hehe :D

But here I am now with some highlights from last few months!

1st one being ~ Sequoia turned ONE! She is not a little baby anymore! She is a full on Toddler!

We had a Outdoor BBQ party for her...it was Crazy Windy that day! And made it one fun dinner!  Stuff flying everywhere...But it was great to have all our friends come over to celebrate

2nd ~ She started Walking one month after her birthday! We were at the beach one day before Mothers day and she just kept getting up and making steps...more and more each time, and in the next few days she was walking! Its the cutest thing! She waddles like a lil penguin...(I will be posting a video soon as I found a memory card for  our little camera...Finally!)....I'm sad I didn't capture those 1st wobbly steps :/

 Trying to remember what else happened....oh, something sad...

We had to sell our chicken coop & chickens :'(...We might have to move and chances are we wont be able to have chickens...so we decided to let them go. I was so sad to see it go. That chicken coop was a wedding gift from our friends...they build it for us! and it was beautiful....And also Sequoia loved her chickens....she would go see them every day, she LOVED collecting eggs...and now she wont be able to do that anymore :'((...so I cried when they came to take it away. 

I'm gonna e-mail the people that bought it and say that if they Ever decide to sell it ...to contact us 1st! 

I want it back! 

 We also had fun going to Big Sisi's soccer games all over the valley! There were some exciting games!
It's also great to see how much those girls improved during just few months of playing together....

Horses

Ok...Just one more post... :-)

Yesterday after finishing with yard work, moving the chicken coop, etc we went to  nearby horse stables....Main plan was to get some shavings for the inside of the chicken coop...and also to visit the Horses, as few days earlier we saw that there were bunch of horses boarded there!

We thought Sequoia might like to see them in "person" :-)....And she did.....its just that few times she got overwhelmed by their Size and needed to "hide" in daddy's shoulder....But she was brave and did great!

Awww....Sweet baby....she was scared a bit...But she never cried! :)

 Then we just spend some time at Kin Race track....Its an old kinda run down place...but we love going there...

She looks so Big here!

And then....there was This horse! :P

So funny....

They bonded quite fast....not hard to imagine....Both Goofballs! ;)

And that is It for now! Whew! I dont think I've even posted This much in one go! 

And to wrap it up....This was a great long weekend...lots of yard work, building stuff, chilling out going on.....And as jeff would say lately "Its ONLY the beginning of April!" and we already 'fired up" the patio-BBQ season! How awesome is that!

11 months old!

Our sweet baby is 11 months old!! Wow! Almost a whole year since she was born....Time sure flies when you're having fun!

She is the most amazing baby....I know! All parents think that about their babies...But really, she Is! ;P

She is Smart, Funny, Curious, STUBBORN...She is a Taurus so can't really help it... She Loves to eat!
Loves her books...

She knows where the fan is...Knows where her nose, eyes, ears are...and in Bosnian too! I'm trying to talk to her in my own language as much as I can so she can learn it with English....

She makes a "Mok Bok" sound for chicken, almost makes a"mooo" sound...well,its more like a 'vvvvvv"....And when we ask ger to say "baaaaa" she Coughs! Thats her Goat sound! hahha TOO funny!

She crawls everywhere...and is fast! Absolutely LOVES standing holding onto the furniture....and even lets go and just stands there not holding onto anything....

 She loves watching Baby Einstein videos...Loves visiting our chickens and feeding the wood shavings....SHe even helps us get the eggs! Oh And the other day she said "jaje" which is "Egg" in Bosnian!! :-D

Every day is an adventure! She comes up with something new almost daily....Oh yeah, she has this little ball with holes in it...and her latest fave way to play with it is; She throws it and then crawls really fast to go catch it and does that over and over again! Super cute!

Above the Clouds....

Shockingly I left my camera at home few weeks ago when we went for our hike.......Battery was almost empty...and weather was kinda rainy so I thought "meh"....I dont want it to get wet and besides rainy day photos are not all that spectacular"...So we left for our hike without it...

 Every weekend we go for a hike.....but last weekend Jeff had to work both days...yes! Work! So baby and I went with him and spent a day at his office....nearby beach....playground...here are a few photos from that weekend...

So because we missed our hike last weekend we went yesterday...It was a cloudy but warmish day...We went to one of the hills in town....There is a short dog walk....but then if you want to keep going you have to trespass to someones farmland....so we did hehe...And kept going up the hill....Every time we climbed one hill we wondered whats behind the next one...so we kept going....and city noise kept getting quieter...until we couldn't hear it anymore....The prettiest part was the view from up there and the Clouds! They were low...and at one point we turned around and saw a Cloud....coming up the hill towards us! How often do you get to see that! Super kewl!!

We got to the top....well almost to the top...Baby wanted to get out of her Ergo...so her and I found a spot and had a lil snack....and Jeff and Boots went all the way to the top...He said he could see bunch of little lakes over that hill...So we hang out for a bit and headed back down....Luckily we found a road so going down was much faster and easier! That hike was 5 HOURS long! Yup!We were pretty sore when we got home....and we felt Great!  I love hiking....Its a workout that doesnt Feel like a Workout!

Love Books!

Sequoia is 8.5 mths and enjoys discovering the world around her....

She is not liking her exersaucer so much anymore...who would wanna sit in that thing when you can Move around!! her favorite thing to do these days is to pull ALL books off the shelve...

she just sits there and pulls them out....turns the pages...

 

Other thing she loves is to "walk" around while holding on to our hands...That baby just doesn't want to sit still...too much to see and explore!Gets that from her dad!

Oh, she "graduated" from swimming class! She is officially a Starfish!In Spring we'll sign her up for next level, which is "Duck" hehe

Growing like a weed!

Our little Sequoia is Little No more! She is growing fast!

Not a tiny lil peanut anymore (sigh)...People refer to her now as a "Big" baby...It's a bit strange to hear that because for the longest time she was in 10th percentile for her weight, but she is catching up nicely.

She is 5.5 mths old, around 16 lbs...she is Strong, likes to stand, moves a lot more now, she is almost sitting on her own....she can scream Loud if she wants to...Personality is kicking in!

She is smiley, sweet, happy, goofy little thing who loves people and has a smile for everyone...she is very observant and curious.

It's exciting to watch her grow and change every day, but a bit sad too...I don't want her to grow too fast...my lil baby :-)

Now if I could just find that battery charger so I can charge camera batteries and post some new photos....

Getting Too big for her bouncy chair...she is Sitting in it!...You are Not suppose to be sitting in it you silly 5mth old baby! Not even suppose to be sitting at all...But she does :-)

Sitting by herself(not in a car seat) in BOB the Stroller!  She looks like she isn't quite sure about this whole "sitting by herself" thing...Oh and notice how she is holding the bar with her Toes!/ She was born with these long monkey toes!

Here is our lil' Sequoia!! This is what she does every morning as of recently! She squeeeeeeeals in delight! at 6 or 7am!! Best alarm clock ever! lol
