Featured Photo!

Few weeks ago I took a mini photography....or MOMtohraphie class One Ingredient Fix with Beryl Ayn Young, and learned that eliminating word "cheese" will give you much better photos. 

I never really used that word anyways and always liked taking photos of people while they were doing....whatever they were doing....those photos always turned out better than when everyone stared at the camera....

But it was great to be reminded of that...and to also learn to replace word "cheese" with "play" while photographing kids! 

Yes! That was brilliant!  

So yesterday I got an e-mail from Beryl saying that she will use one of my photos on her blog post! Yay! So here is the link to that post and to her amazing blog....and you should all go check it out!

Horses

Ok...Just one more post... :-)

Yesterday after finishing with yard work, moving the chicken coop, etc we went to  nearby horse stables....Main plan was to get some shavings for the inside of the chicken coop...and also to visit the Horses, as few days earlier we saw that there were bunch of horses boarded there!

We thought Sequoia might like to see them in "person" :-)....And she did.....its just that few times she got overwhelmed by their Size and needed to "hide" in daddy's shoulder....But she was brave and did great!

Awww....Sweet baby....she was scared a bit...But she never cried! :)

 Then we just spend some time at Kin Race track....Its an old kinda run down place...but we love going there...

She looks so Big here!

So beautiful....

And then....there was This horse! :P

So funny....

They bonded quite fast....not hard to imagine....Both Goofballs! ;)

And that is It for now! Whew! I dont think I've even posted This much in one go! 

And to wrap it up....This was a great long weekend...lots of yard work, building stuff, chilling out going on.....And as jeff would say lately "Its ONLY the beginning of April!" and we already 'fired up" the patio-BBQ season! How awesome is that!

Building of......The Pyramid herb planter!

Hubby Jeff has been planning to build Pyramid herb planter for awhile now....so this last weekend was perfect...We "scored" a band saw at a garage sale on Friday...Then got some nice long pieces of wood....and he got to work

And here is what it looks like now! Not finished yet but it looks Amazing!

 

I'm so glad Jeff gets to have his woodworking hobby again. he always said how he loves it...but he didn't have room here....or the tools...Well now he does!...we will set up our basement space as his "woodworking room"...and he can also do it outside in the yard now that the weather is getting nicer.

Easter weekend...

Pinterest Included! so I have no choice but to come here and write some more about what we're up to....

It's Easter Monday morning...everyone is still asleep...I'm having  a cup of coffee...ahhhh so nice...

This weekend has been great! The weather was...and still is incredibly Warm! Yesterday it was  Sunny and  20'C!!! And it's only march!!....Well, its now April 1st...but still! That pretty Warm for this time of year!

On friday night we had a yummy BBQ steak dinner at Granty's!

{11:30pm}Ok I'm back...it's now 11:30....and I can continue with this post now that everyone is asleep again ;-P....

So whre was I? Oh yes....Dinner on friday was delicious! It's always fun when we visit there! Saturday and Sunday are a bit of a blur....trying to remember whet we did....We mostly stayed home and didn nothing spectacular....I started clearing out or basement.....Again! And we just relaxed at home and enjoyed the Warm and sunny weather!

Today Jeff spent a whole day building our Pyramid herbplanter!! Such a great hubby! I will post photos tomorrow morning! It's not finished yet, but it looks So Nice! It's very 'zen" like ....Can't wait til it's done!

So that was our easter weekend....OK! I just remembered! We also had a lil Easter egg hunt this morning for Sienna  and Sequoia! I wasnt sure if sienna would be into it...you know being 12 and all Teenager-ish now...but she looked for eggs and helped Sequoia get some too.
