Little things :)

I wanted to  jot this down as I am a huge believer that Little things matter the most

Hubby and I were playing tennis one afternoon...and after we finished I took Sequoia to  playground and he went to look for some stray tennis balls on the other side of the court....and when he came back he was had the Prettiest little bouquet of flowers for me!

How SWEET is that!? Very sweet!!

I feel like people are almost "required" to buy flowers/presents for certain dates ...birthday, anniverssary, etc....and thats also nice

bat when someone does it for you Just because they love you and they feel like giving them to you...It's 100 times more special

Little things add up to a happy marriage and happy life!

Amateur Photographer Contest!

I entered my 1st Amateur Photographer Contest

I saw the article about it in the local papers and thought Why not?? Lets see what happens!

Here are my entries

They will then choose 3-5 contestants from each city to go to aan Air Show and take photos there....and then those photos will be judged as well...There are some awesome prizes.....But if I even make it to the Air Show I'll be more than happy! It's my 1st contest so I'm not expecting much....But it will me fun if I make it through! :)

Saturday hike

Long story - Short; Three or so years ago we had our lil hiking troupe...consisting of 7-8 friends...and we hiked a lot that summer...but comming years everyone got busy...we got pregnant, had the baby...u know Life happened ...so we havent had a chance to get back into it...Until this spring! I am happy to say we are back at it! We enjoy being outside, exploring the great outdors...and getting a good workout! Whats not to like!?

So here is some pics from this Saturday's hike

 Notice the Coffee mug in Hubby's left hand? yeah. he is the only person I know who cant go hiking without his coffee :P

Afterwards we had a nice lunch at the picnic bench...

Horses & Daisies

Yesterday was Aboriginal Day here...so we planned to go see what festivities they planned at the local park as they always have some entertainment, cultural stuff, kids stuff...just to discover there was Nothing happening 

Guess they canceled it due to rainy weather last few days (Booo!)....of course it didn't rain ...but there was still nothing happening....

So we went home to have lunch and then headed to visit our friend Zabrina and her horse Caleb!

He is boarded at this amazing farm along with 6 other horses...the owners of this Horse Center are using horses in therapy for people...neat place tucked in just off of the hwy...You'd never even know its there...

It was raining for Days so horses weren't able to go out in the field....and this is the moment when our friend finally let them out...and they all just ran down....there is just something about running horses....

Then we walked over to a little meadow full of Daisies!

Fathers Day

This last Sunday was Father's Day....So we decided to visit local farm where they had a farmers market with all sorts of goodies...We met a psychic lady who said that Sequoia will be stubborn(shes got That right!!), very smart....will make lots of money (Alright!!)...and that we should start giving her some coins as early as 2y old so she can save them in her piggy bank...she said she is friendly but wont trust people right away....which is great! ...we liked her and might even end up visiting her one of these days :)

We walked around a bit...tasted all sorts of local foods and treats...bought some yummy strawberry jam...and then it was time for horse carriage ride

Not much of a View...lol...but the ride was fun

Then we checked out their horses....so pretty!

It was getting super hot so we headded home

That evening we had the yummiest dinner! BBQ Sockeye salmon, grilled pineaple(YUMMY!!), rice and salad!

Oh it was so delicious!

 And that wraped our nice Fathers Day!

Lately this swing is her fave place to be! As soon as she wakes up and we go outside she walks over to it makes her little birdie sound and points to it...Letting us know she wants to go for a Swing!

This was another beach day....And its special because that day she started Walking! It was Saturday, one day before Mothers Day :)

 She is putting her sunscreen here....It's a serious job!

She learned how to do "SCORES!!!!" As soon as she hears goal horn (hockey) she lifts her arms up!

One other thing she learned is ....Frowning!!...Yup, shes got this frowning thing Down!

I love the beach! Hubby, err not so much. he cant stand just being there and not doing anything!...But he came with us...and found something to do...he made this big "pond" for baby....and kept filling it with water for her...She loved it! She kept pouring the water all over her...While I sat in the sun, and read my book...aaaah , love summer

ZEBRA!!

Around 2 weeks ago we vent to a little local fair....and the main mission is to find Zebra! And we sure did!! here are some moments from that day :)

They had these dirt bike dudes doing all sorts of tricks! Pretty crazy what they can do!

 This is a miniature Railroad set....It was huge and SO realistic looking! Amazing how much work they put into it!
