IF you know me, you know I would have to dedicate one whole post to this magical place! China Beach, Juan de Fuca provincial park, Vancouver Island, BC! If you ever happen to go to Victoria or the Island....you HAVE to visit this place. We...well Jeff found it few months after we moved to Victoria...we wanted to go for a day trip one weekend...so we drove 1.5 hrs...found the parking...got kids and backpacks and set down this magical forest path...through beautiful big mossy trees...part way down you will start hearing Big crashing Waves, a sign that the Ocean is close. few more steps and you will See the water through the tress...Sun reflection bouncing off of the water! Excitement builds! We walk down faster....few more minutes we come to the end of the path, an opening in the forest that leads us to the most magical sandy beach. It is a place of wonder, playfulness, imagination. A place where most wonderful memories are made. Where outside world seems to Disappear and fade away. My Perfect place!
half way down the path we start hearing waver....sometimes slow gentle sound...and sometimes Loud big crashing waves....We would always stop and Listen to them for a minute! It meant we were almost at the beach.....few more minutes down the path.....a little boardwalk landing....some stairs .....and then....it always felt like entering some different dimension.... trees would clear and we would see this:
BIG beautiful Ocean!! Huge sandy beach...and hours and hours of FUN...so far away from outside world....I always felt like a kid when we went here....It's one of my most favorite places on this earth....

a pool....There was a warm water section when we first got to the beach so Jeff made pool out of it.....
but then tide came in and destroyed it
this was a whale that he dug out with his shovel....Kai loved staying on top of it while waves came in all around her :)

aaah that time we made this Giant crab from shells and rocks...Jeff kept getting bags and bags of shells....its was huge!
